Bull wires. In Yekaterinburg say goodbye to American marble beef
In the capital of the Urals finish the last batch of meat.
Beef imports from the United States are prohibited.
In Yekaterinburg, there will be wires of American marble beef. In early February, the chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko introduced a ban on the import into Russia of “raw materials” for popular steaks. According to experts, the last imported batch of meat in the capital of the Urals will be eaten within 2-3 weeks before Maslenitsa and the subsequent Great Lent.
For this period, in the Urals restaurant "Troekurov" created a unique meat menu called "Box wires". It includes six courses. Among them are small ribs of the Aberdeen gobies cooked in a frying pan in Burgundy, chilled fricando under a sauce of tuna with capers, antrecot "Black Canyon" with potatoes in herbs and barnaise sauce and others. After the meat runs out, the menu will remain as a memory of the last servings of American beef.
“America has a centuries-old culture of beef cattle. This experience Americans keep from the days of the Wild West, the era of cowboys. Just as France is famous for its cheeses and wines, America is known for its meat. Beef dishes are the leaders in demand on the menu of our restaurant. Beef is more popular than lamb, deer, deer. Finding a replacement for marble steaks is not easy. After the stocks run out, we will prepare dishes from the meat of the Japanese breed of gobies grown in Australia, said Mikhail Kovalev, chef and manager of the Troekourov restaurant.
To eat marble meat of Aberdeen gobies, Russians will now have to go abroad. American beef is highly valued by restaurateurs and forms the basis of the meat menu of the world’s leading restaurants.
Despite the shortage and high demand, prices for American beef will not rise. We want everyone to be able to enjoy marble beef from the United States for the last time in Russia, says Mikhail Kovalev.
