Putin asks the government to work on the organization of vaccine tourism in Russia

Putin noted that Russia can provide an opportunity for foreigners to come to Russia and get vaccinated with domestic coronavirus vaccines.

“I ask the government to analyze all aspects of this issue by the end of the month in order to organize conditions for paid vaccination for foreign citizens in our country, taking into account safety requirements, of course, sanitary control,” Putin said at a plenary session of SPIEF on Friday.

“The domestic pharmaceutical industry is ready to further increase the production of vaccines. We not only fully meet our own needs, but also allow foreigners to come to Russia and get vaccinated here.

According to Putin, the demand for vaccination with Russian drugs, given their high effectiveness from foreigners, is “pretty high.”

Moreover, the practice has become widespread when people from different countries, including businessmen, heads of large European companies, and other companies specially visit Russia to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The President also instructed the government, regions and business to work together on the issues of vaccination of people who come to Russia as part of labor migration. "Many such specialists are employed in our construction, trade, services and housing and communal services."

Russia has four vaccines against COVID-19, and Sputnik V is being developed by the center. Gamalei is registered in 66 countries, where more than 3.2 billion people live.

According to Putin, every adult citizen of the Russian Federation has the opportunity to give the vaccine “as comfortable as possible, voluntarily and free of charge.” “I would like to take this opportunity to once again ask our citizens to use this opportunity to protect themselves and their loved ones.”
