Rospotrebnadzor hopes for the tourist season in Russia

Stabilization of the situation with the coronavirus allows us to hope for the tourist season in Russia, said the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.

“This is from the category of big, good, correct, but hopes, while we have to look at the next two weeks,” Popova said in an interview with Rossiya-1 channel.

The figures remain encouraging. By May 17, the total number of cases per day - 9,709 people who recovered per day - 4,207, or almost half of the total, and, according to the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, for the week the number of recoveries actually doubled.

Local authorities continue to talk about the gradual weakening of self-isolation regimes. In Crimea, from May 18, almost everything will work – except for “companies of the resort industry”.

The head of the Crimea S. Aksenov “revised” the forecast that the season in the Crimea will not be, and says about the possibility of its start from June 15.

Krasnodar Territory: on June 1, it is planned to open hotels and small accommodation facilities, sanatoriums with a medical license. The resorts are preparing for the season, for example, in Sochi - works on the improvement of the territory.

The resort towns of the Kaliningrad region on the Baltic Sea are still closed to “outsiders”.
