Russia has expanded the list of countries that have an electronic visa
The list of countries whose citizens can come to Russia on a single electronic visa has been expanded. Now it includes 64 countries, according to the official website of the Russian government.
“President of the government Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree increasing the list of foreign countries whose citizens can obtain a single electronic visa to enter Russia,” the Cabinet said.
Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan and Eswatini were added to the new list. Serbia and Andorra, with which bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free travel have been concluded, are excluded from the list.
The mechanism for issuing electronic visas began to operate on August 1, 2023. Visas are issued on the portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for tourist, business, humanitarian and guest trips. To obtain an electronic visa, invitations, hotel reservations or other documents confirming the purpose of the trip are not required. Visa processing takes no more than four days.
