Rostourism called the timing of the restoration of domestic tourism
The full recovery of Russian domestic tourism is expected in early 2022.
This forecast was made on June 3 by the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
We expect domestic tourism to fully recover in early 2022. In terms of the dynamics of the industry recovery, since last year we have been among the leaders among all countries.”
2020 for the Russian tourism industry ended with an indicator of 60% of domestic tourist flow from the level of 2019.
“This year, we forecast that the industry will recover by 80% compared to 2019, with resort and natural areas expecting growth of 15-20% compared to 2019 figures, both in money and tourists.”
