Rosturizm asks the governors to control the support of the tourism industry

Zarina Doguzova, the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, sent letters to the heads of regions of the Russian Federation, in which she urged to provide maximum regional support to tourism entities, investors, initiators of new projects and monitor this process.

The head of the Federal Agency for Tourism expresses his conviction that the priority task requiring special control by the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is to preserve the highly professional personnel base and infrastructure base of the industry, which have been formed over the past 20 years.

The solution to this problem, in addition to the actions taken at the federal level, should be the provision of the maximum possible measures of regional support (direct financing, tax and non-tax benefits) to tourism entities, investors and initiators of new projects.

Doguzova drew attention to the fact that the restoration of the industry from scratch will be more costly and lengthy process than the provision of timely targeted assistance to existing enterprises.

In this regard, I appeal to you with a request to take personal control over the issues of comprehensive support and development of the tourism industry and express my personal readiness to promptly carry out all necessary and possible assistance to achieve our common goal.
