Rostourism checks the readiness of regions for the winter season
Rosturizm checked the regions for readiness for the winter tourist season, including for security.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko said: Taking into account the increased demand for holidays in the country this winter season, especially at ski resorts, Rosturizm within the framework of interdepartmental working groups worked out the issues of ensuring the safety of tourists. The regions confirmed their readiness for the winter tourist season, including in terms of synchronizing the work of various services related to the safety of citizens.”
Special attention is paid to the observance of sanitary and epidemiological measures, and the regional authorities themselves decide what restrictions to impose, based on the situation with the spread of COVID-19.
The head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova said that the Russians are actively booking tours for the New Year holidays.
“Traditionally, active winter recreation is particularly popular, especially alpine skiing and snowboarding. Very popular this winter Krasnaya Polyana, Arkhyz, Dombay and Elbrus, Khibiny in the Murmansk region, White Mountain in the Urals, Mountain Air in Sakhalin and, of course, Sheregesh in Kuzbass, where, by the way, from yesterday began to fly affordable charters, she said.
