Rostourism opposes the tax on departure from the Russian Federation
This week, the Association of Entrepreneurs for the Development of Business Patriotism “Avanti” proposed to introduce a tax of 500 rubles. on departure from the Russian FederationIt will be taken from foreigners and our compatriots. The proposal was sent to the Federation Council, the State Duma and Rostourism.
The initiators of the introduction of the tax say that in the current international situation, the development of domestic tourism is relevant, and the implementation of the proposal will add an additional 35 billion rubles to the budget every year.
Advisor to the head of Rostourism Andrey Monacov says that Russians have the right to freely choose the directions of tourist trips. The representative of the department is sure that the implementation of this “inalienable right” cannot be imposed additional charges.
The expert believes that the tax will not help the development of domestic tourism, and artificial restriction of competition will cause an increase in prices in the domestic market.
