From March 1, the rules of entry to Cyprus will change

From 1 March to enter the Cyprus Tourists vaccinated or infected with COVID-19 do not need to take a PCR test.

The government has decided to extend the validity of vaccination certificates for entry from 7 months to 9 months. If more than nine months have passed since the vaccination against the coronavirus, then the tourist will need to get a booster vaccination or pass a PCR test.

For Russians, two doses of Sputnik V or Sputnik Light are recognized as a booster dose.

“Cyprus does not require a mandatory pause (for example, 14 days) after the end of the course of vaccination. You can go to Cyprus immediately as soon as a certificate of vaccination in English with passport data appears on the website of public services, the ATOR website reported.

After March 1, unvaccinated tourists will still have to present a PCR test to enter the country. It must be done earlier than 72 hours before departure. Travelers will also need to take another paid test upon arrival.

Currently, tourists arriving in Cyprus, regardless of vaccination status, need to pass two tests for coronavirus: no earlier than 72 hours before departure and on arrival in the country.
