Sri Lanka will reduce prices for accommodation for Russians in winter

Sri Lanka’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ruwan Ranasinghge: “After the pandemic, prices were very low due to the lack of tourists. However, with the recovery of the economy, demand increased and prices began to rise. We are currently negotiating with hoteliers to reduce prices for Russians in the winter season. Thus, the possible decline in prices depends on supply and demand.”
He added that the state does not regulate the cost of accommodation, but takes into account the appeals of tour operators and seeks to make rest for Russians more affordable.
