Sweden puts the whole country on Airbnb
The Swedish constitution guarantees freedom of movement throughout the country, allowing people to travel freely from Cape Smügehük in the south to the wild surroundings of Treriksröset (the point at which the borders of Sweden, Finland, Norway converge) in the north.
Visit Sweden, Sweden’s tourism authority, said: This is made possible by freedom of movement, a right guaranteed by the Swedish constitution. It allows citizens to maintain contact with nature, enjoy the richness of its flora and fauna. The Swedish landscape is striking in diversity: there are high mountains and forest thickets, picturesque archipelagos and quiet meadows. Together with Airbnb, we invite everyone to Sweden, where travelers can enjoy the freedom of movement and see our amazing nature, says Jenny Kaiser, Director of Visit Sweden USA.
The right to freedom of movement guarantees anyone in any part of the country to walk, hike, travel. “Go boldly for a morning jog or cycling in the fields or for a high-altitude hike. Whatever your soul is, you don’t need anyone’s permission – find the best place that suits you and your mood.
