How much did tourists spend on New Year holidays in Russia?

During the New Year holidays from December 28 to January 8, Russian tourists made 10.8 million trips around the country, which is 46% more compared to 2024. Their total expenses amounted to 64.4 billion rubles, according to SberAnalytics.

“The average New Year’s trip lasted three days, as in previous years. At the same time, the number of tourists who come to a new city for less than a day for the sake of the excursion has increased. The ratio of tourists and excursionists is 51% and 48%, respectively, analysts note.

Almost 30% of all funds were spent in food stores.
16% of the spending falls on restaurants and non-food stores.
The average check for the year grew the most in the category of "entertainment" - from 1200 to 1600 rubles.
The average income of tourists is from 70 to 100 thousand rubles.
