Event tourism: what trips do Russians choose?
Tourists told about their attitude to trips dedicated to various holidays and events.
OneTwoTrip surveyed 2,400 users and found that the majority (58%) went on tour on an important date. For example, the birthday of the trip at least once celebrated 59 percent of respondents, and the New Year – 45 percent. 52 percent of respondents participated in festivals and festivals abroad.
Many people travel for concerts or events. A third of tourists went to the performance of their favorite artist in other cities or countries, 22 percent went to sports competitions. Another 14% admit to having made or received a marriage proposal while traveling.
Memorable trips abroad, tied to an event, tourists most often happened in Italy: ten percent of users spent their honeymoon there, celebrated birthdays, attended carnival in Venice or exhibitions.

Among the cities of Russia in terms of event tourism was the most popular St. Petersburg It was selected by 19% of respondents.
Holidays in Sochi 11% of travelers are remembered. On Elbrus and Baikal, proposals are often made, as well as the New Year is celebrated - these directions scored 9% of votes.
