In Moscow.Construction of a new Moscow City-Ramenki metro line has begun. This new diametrical Kalininsk-Solntsevo metro line will connect the Moscow City business center with Dorogomilovsky and Ramenka districts. In the future, the line can be extended to Ochakovo, Solntsevo and Novoperedelkino, RBC reports.

At the first stage, it is planned to commission the Delovoy Center station located in the Moscow City area. A section of the line connecting this station with Victory Park will also be built. A new underground lobby will be built at the Park Pobedy station; this station will become an interchange hub between the newly built Kalinin-Solntsevo and Arbat-Pokrovskaya lines.

The Kalinin-Solntsevo line from the Business Center to the Victory Park will be laid at great depth. In the area of Victory Park, the line will pass at a maximum depth of 80 m. The line is expected to be commissioned in 2013.

In 2015, the Moscow authorities plan to build several new metro lines to cover up to 90% of the city’s districts. If you open new lines, the load on existing ones will decrease. Therefore, this year 4.5 km of lines were built, next 8 km are planned, in 2013 - 12.5 km, in 2014 - 22.9 km, and in 2015 - 26.7 km. In total, 75.1 km are planned to be put into operation by 2015, and about 45 km by 2020.

By the way, in the south of the capital, a metro station called Alma-Ata will appear in the Bratevo area, and at the same time in Almaty it was decided to name one of the metro stations in honor of Moscow.

The Metropolitan also plans to install vending machines in the lobbies of the stations to sell tickets for one or two trips. Until March 2012, 1.5 thousand machines are planned, some of which will sell tickets for any number of trips and replenish transport cards.
