Taiwan simplified entry for Russians
Authority Taiwan We have opened the possibility of issuing electronic visas for Russian citizens, the Zen blog of the Association of Tour Operators reports. The system runs in test mode for a year: if the experiment is successful, the program will be extended beyond July 2027.
The e-visa gives the right to a single entry and stay on the island for up to 30 days. This format is especially convenient for independent travelers who want to avoid paperwork.
The cost of e-visa is 1646 Taiwan dollars (about 55 US dollars). This amount has already included an online fee - no additional payments will be required. To apply, you need a valid passport, which expires no earlier than six months after entering Taiwan. The whole procedure is online – you do not need to visit the consulate.
Tourists should take into account the peculiarities of the summer season in Taiwan: in July and August, the tropical heat is kept here - the air temperature reaches 30 degrees and above, and the humidity remains high. In addition, during this period, the typhoon season begins: heavy, but often short-term rains are possible.
For a beach holiday, experts recommend the southern parts of the island - for example, Kenting National Park with white sand and clear water. On the west coast, Fulong Beach is popular: it is especially appreciated by surf lovers. In addition to beach activities, Taiwan offers tourists many other interesting places to visit.
