In 2024, Russians increasingly chose to travel around their native spaces. Analysts of Aviasales on December 18 presented a list of the 10 most popular destinations for domestic tourism.
According to the study, 73% of all air travel accounted for domestic flights. This is slightly down from 2023, when domestic destinations accounted for 77% of bookings. Like last year, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi became the leaders in popularity - these cities accounted for as much as 48% of all bookings!
Next on the list became mahachkalaMineral Waters, kaliningrad. ekaterinburg. Kazan. ufa and Samara. Interestingly, the fastest growing areas are recognized archangelskYakutsk and Kemerovo, which attract more and more tourists.
As for foreign travel, Japan was the fastest growing destination this year, where Russians can now more easily obtain a tourist visa.
