Turkey to introduce mandatory electronic questionnaires for tourists from March 15

The Ministry of Health of Turkey canceled a paper questionnaire for entering the country, from March 15, passengers will have to fill out an electronic questionnaire before departure (72 hours before the trip), without which they will not be allowed on the flight.

After filling in the questionnaire, it must be printed or downloaded to a smartphone, tablet, other devices. Passengers present a printed or downloaded questionnaire to an airline employee at the airport of departure.

In the form, the person indicates passport data, mobile phone, email, airline name, date of departure, flight number, address of stay in Turkey. With the help of them, a special HES code is formed, according to which the authorities will monitor possible contacts of tourists with patients and contact them if necessary.

Foreigners who transit Turkey do not have to do so.

This measure is being introduced to protect health while in Turkey and to provide up-to-date information about the coronavirus.
For the publication of false information, tourists will receive administrative sanctions up to a temporary ban on entry into Turkey (this does not apply to citizens of the Republic of Turkey and entering with a residence permit).
