Turkey: All liquids banned

New rules for carrying liquids in hand luggage will soon come into force in Turkey. It was developed by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority. These rules, at least, seem strange, and cause only negative emotions among tourists.

So, starting from March 1, 2012, passengers departing from Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports will not be able to carry any type of liquids in their hand luggage, regardless of the container volume. Prohibited in hand luggage were water, syrups, all possible drinks, creams, lotions, oils, colognes, perfumes, mascara and other cosmetics. Also banned were shaving foam, deodorants, toothpaste, jars with jam, honey, yogurt and other liquid foods, as well as liquids for contact lenses, shampoos, sprays and aerosols.
