Tourist tax will be introduced in the Altai Republic from 2025
From January 1, 2025, a tourist tax will be introduced in the Altai Republic, which will be paid by both organizations and individuals providing places for temporary residence. This is reported by the press service of the regional government.
At the meeting on preparations for the introduction of the tax, it was noted that it would only be levied on facilities included in the register of classified accommodation facilities. At the initial stage, the tax rate will be 1%, but not less than 100 rubles. In the future, it is planned to increase the rate to 5%. Decisions on the introduction of the tax and possible benefits will be taken at the municipal level.
According to the calculations of the Ministry of Economic Development of the region, the new tax can bring the budget at least 134.2 million rubles a year, according to a press release.
