Will tourists receive immune passports?

The consequences of COVID-2019 can lead to the emergence of “biological identity cards”, immune passports of tourists.

Health certificates from tourists require “opened” China, but it is possible that this will be a worldwide practice.

Izvestia experts believe that the documents will guarantee that tourists are not carriers of the virus. Such a passport could get those who have already been ill or have natural immunity.

In China, from April 12, those wishing to stay in hotels in Beijing will have to present a certificate of absence of coronavirus. The certificate must be issued no earlier than a week before the settlement, it will contain a special code confirming the absence of COVID-19.

Germany initiated the introduction of immune passports at the end of March. German scientists proposed to test residents for antibodies to the coronavirus and those who have acquired immunity, to issue a certificate. The idea was supported in the UK and the US. The Minister of health of Britain Matt Hancock suggested that all who have had coronavirus and developed antibodies to the disease to issue a document that will allow them not to comply with quarantine.

Experts of the travel market treat the idea negatively - at times it is interesting, for example, to reassure individual hypochondriacs who are nervous about the health of those living next to them. However, the Chinese certificate suggests that the test should be done within a week before the tourist arrives at the hotel. Accordingly, the situation is not excluded: he received a certificate, got on a plane to Beijing and became infected. There are also asymptomatic carriers of the virus and not yet sick citizens.
