The Association of tour operators of Russia called the approximate timing of the opening of borders for tourists
Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia Maya Lomidze answered the questions of subscribers in Instagram in the program “Good morning” on the First channel.
The summer vacation will take place, but it will be special, Maya Lomidze said. While tourists will be able to rest only in Russia, but the positive news about the willingness to accept foreigners regularly come from different countries.
Spain and Greece are ready to open their borders from July 1, Croatia is waiting for Russian tourists from June 15, Turkey and other countries are preparing to receive guests.
But the resumption of international tourism is always a two-way process. If the restoration of some part of regular flights abroad in the summer can still be expected, but the prospects for the launch of charter flights are still vague. According to our preliminary information, until September we should not expect the lifting of bans on the sale of tours from Russia abroad.
Maya Lomidze said that the decision on the procedure for transferring tours abroad and returning money for vouchers will be made within one to two weeks.
It is possible that tourists will be able to use the right to rebook for a similar tourist product within 18 months or return the cost of the tour and plus 5%.
From June 1, you can relax in Sochi and other resorts of the Krasnodar Territory. But, really, only those who plan to be in the sanatorium and issued a sanatorium ticket.
Until June 6, a quarantine is in effect in the region, and guests who intend to stay not in sanatoriums, but, for example, in the private sector, will go into two-week self-isolation.
I would also not advise tourists not to take risks and not to go on vacation without so-called epidemiological certificates. Without them, the sanatorium does not have the right to accept you, says Maya Lomidze.
