In the Dominican Republic opened the season of watching humpback whales

Last Wednesday, January 16, representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic officially opened the humpback whale watching season. It will be possible to watch the huge animals until the end of March.

In winter, whales swim into warm Dominican waters to produce offspring. Authorities during this period are tightening supervision that tourists are transported only ships with a license, not creating unnecessary noise. Subject to this condition, ships with tourists can approach animals at a distance of up to thirty meters.

Every year, more than 40 thousand people come to the Dominican Republic to see this wonder of the world.
