In Egypt may introduce a dress code for foreign tourists

Residents of the Egyptian city of Hurghada at one of the demonstrations called for the introduction of a dress code for foreign tourists.

The statement, according to Rosbalt, was made in response to the fact that France banned the wearing of the burqa and hijab.

If the resort authorities approve the initiative, foreign women will be required to appear in public only in skirts below the knee and with their hands covered. More explicit outfits will be outlawed.

According to experts, the introduction of such rules is unlikely. At the same time, if the dress code for foreign women is adopted, Egypt’s tourism industry, which is currently not in a better position, could suffer significant losses.
