In the state Duma urged to abandon the resort fee
Sergei Mironov, the head of the faction “Fair Russia” in the state Duma, believes that the experiment with the resort fee is unsuccessful, and it should be curtailed.
In his opinion, retribution causes discontent of citizens and business representatives, and regions suffer image losses.
Travelers are forced to reduce the time of stay in order not to pay extra money or go to the “gray” sector, which complained tour operators. The authorities of the regions see the disadvantage of the tax - in the Altai Territory the question of its expediency arises, in the Crimea they did not introduce it.
The deputy is sure that the Crimean authorities did absolutely the right thing. “In the current state of the infrastructure, resort fees cannot be charged. This should not be improved at the expense of tourists.”
Recently in the Legislative Assembly of the Altai Territory, including representatives of our faction “Fair Russia”, raised the question of the effectiveness of the resort fee. A working group will be set up at the regional parliament level to evaluate the experiment. I hope that in the end, regional deputies will decide to cancel it, Mironov said.
Sergei Mironov is confident that domestic resorts should be developed by the state within the framework of federal programs and federal funding.
It is not right to transfer these costs to citizens.
