In Kaliningrad there was a monument to the boot of Baron Munchausen

On September 3, on the embankment in the "Fish Village", not far from the lighthouse, Baron Munchausen's forged left boot appeared. 462 companies claimed the right to create it, and just this year the winner was announced.

The idea of erecting a monument appeared in 2005, when historians - naturalists of the club "Grandchild of Munchausen" found the legendary baron's boot at the bottom of the Pregoli River.

By the way, the boot is not the only monument to the legendary baron in Kaliningrad. Next to Queen Louise's church there is a steel wall in which the silhouette of Baron Munchausen flying at the core is carved. On one side, the inscription "kaliningrad"Koenigsberg on the other." This sculpture was donated to the city on its 750th anniversary by Bodenven, the birthplace of Munchausen.
