The active phase of the tourist season officially started in Crimea on Saturday. Earlier, the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that in may the Republic will be able to receive more than 1 million guests.
In the region opened 700 hotels and sanatoriums in compliance with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor. The average level of booking accommodation facilities in May is 80%. In January-April 2021, more than 1 million tourists have already rested in the Crimea, which is 38.6% higher than the same period in 2019.
At most tourist sites, work is completed on the improvement of territories, the organization of parking lots, places of disembarkation of tourists. The technical readiness of the beaches is being checked, which will be fully opened by June 1.
