In Mexico, you can watch monarch butterflies

The reserve, located on the border of the Mexican states of Mexico City and Michoacán, invites visitors to admire a rare phenomenon: a billion monarch butterflies that will fly freely over the park, covering everything around with a velvet veil of their orange wings. The spectacle will open at the end of February.

Monarch butterflies are very small creatures, the average size does not exceed 10 centimeters in length, but despite their modest size, they can travel long distances from 2000 to 4500 kilometers. Butterflies arrive at the reserve in November, just in time for the famous holiday of the Day of the Dead, which takes place on November 1 and 2. It is believed that these butterflies are the souls of the dead.

The most convenient place to watch butterflies - parks El Rosario and Sierra Chincua
