The new carriages will be available in a week
In Russian Railways announced the start of sales of tickets for trains with new seat-card cars. It will be possible to drive in the updated seats next week.
The first modernized seat car will go in the composition of two branded trains: No 19/20 Rostov-on-Don – Moscow and No 11/12 Anapa – Moscow. A train from Rostov to Moscow with such a car departs on March 18, from Moscow to Anapa on March 19.
The new seat-car retains its traditional layout, but has reached a new level of comfort for passengers.
The main difference of the updated interior is the ability to organize personal space for each passenger through partitions with built-in stairs and individual curtains. The updated car provides sofas with headrests, individual lighting, electric outlets and USB ports. Upholstery fabrics are made of wear-resistant fire-proof materials.”
In the corridors there are devices with chilled and heated filtered water, in the toilet rooms there is a hygienic shower, a changing table, dispensers for soap and paper towels, hair dryers.
The press service of Russian Railways notes that it is already possible to buy tickets for a new car. They do not differ in price from tickets for other carriages. By the end of the year, FPC will receive 50 updated wagons for long-distance trains.
