In Russia, it is planned to create special routes, tariffs and tourist infrastructure focused on family holidays. The draft law on social tourism is under development in the State Duma.
The project plans to offer special products and services for families with children, such as hotel rooms adapted for families with children, and special rates for trips of large families. Businesses that provide services to families will receive benefits.
The Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Transport, Rosstandart and regional authorities are involved in the development of the law. It is proposed to create a single database of special tourist routes focused on traditional values.
Tourist programs will include visits to facilities and activities aimed at preserving traditional family values. The Ministry of Transport will work out a special tariff for air and rail services, which will be available for family groups of up to 15 people. The Ministry of Economic Development will work on categories of hotel rooms for large families. The bill on social tourism will also affect other categories of beneficiaries.
