In Russia relaxed the rules for settling children in hotels
On April 1, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved a resolution according to which the requirement for notarial consent of parents when settling children in hotels was removed from the rules for providing hotel services.
Previously, a notarial power of attorney was required when settling children who traveled without parents: accompanied by relatives or with a school excursion.
The decision to exclude this requirement was made due to the complexity of children’s trips in conditions when the child goes on a trip with relatives, on weekend tours, country excursions from an educational institution. It was noted that short child travel was often comparable in cost to notary services.
“Now, only the written consent of one of the legal representatives will be required from a minor upon arrival.”
Consent can be filled in in an arbitrary form. The possibility of notarization also remains.
The decision to simplify the rules will allow parents to save on the services of a notary and simplify the organization of children’s tours.
On March 29, Rospotrebnadzor decided to allow children to go on vacation outside the subjects where they live, thereby easing the requirements for providing children’s recreation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
