Russia predicts growth of domestic tourism in 2021
Head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova believes that Russian domestic tourism in 2021 may increase by 10-15% compared to 2020.
“We expect that we will grow by 10-15% to the indicators of 2020,” she said at a meeting of the Committee for Tourism Development with the tourism industry of St. Petersburg.
In early February, Doguzova said that the tourist flow to Russia will return to pre-crisis figures no earlier than 2023.
At the end of January, Rosturizm proposed to extend the program of tourist cashback for tours around the country until June 20, 2021.
It was reported that the basic conditions of the action will not change. The tour should last at least two nights, the state will return 20% of its cost (no more than 20 thousand rubles for one operation on one card). Citizens need to use the Mir card to buy a tour.
The program of partial refund when buying tours in Russia began in August last year.
