In Tunisia, talk about the preparation of tourism to lift self-isolation
Ministry of Tourism Tunisia officially announces the start of the mode of preparation for the process of exit from self-isolation.
“Tunisia is one of the first countries to rapidly implement an adequate preventive strategy to combat COVID 19 from 14 March 2020. The country continues to successfully cope with the situation and keeps under control the spread of the coronavirus. For the entire period, only 900 cases of infection were registered in the country (data as of April 21, 2020).
In recent weeks, the number of infected has decreased, and in some cities there were no cases of infection, the ministry said.
The government has decided to gradually lift the self-isolation regime from May 4. When leaving self-isolation, the characteristics of individual regions, age groups that are at risk and sanitary norms will be taken into account.
The Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with all stakeholders (WHO, the Federation of Hoteliers and Travel Agencies, airlines, tour operators), will soon announce the development of a “protocol on health safety of tourism”.
The aim of the guide to sanitary procedures is to combat COVID19 and take care of the prevention and protection of tourists during their stay in Tunisia at all levels of the tourist chain.
