Entry to Thailand simplified
At the meeting of the center for management of the situation with covid Thailand It was decided to abolish the requirement for PCR tests taken before arrival.
The new rule will apply to Test & Go, Sandbox and Alternative Quarantine entry schemes (for tourists without a vaccine).
If the decision is published in the government newspaper without changes, Russians will be able to take advantage of the exemptions from April 1.
Another innovation from April 1 – reduction of quarantine
The remaining entry conditions remain unchanged. It is still necessary to apply for a Thailand Pass entry permit, undergo testing on arrival and do an express (ATC) test on day 5. The minimum insurance coverage is the same – $20,000.
From May 1, it is planned to further simplify the rules of entry into Thailand: replacing the PCR test on arrival with the express (ATC) test.
Tour operators, commenting on the innovations, called them generally positive, but still not able to encourage Russians to buy a tour to Thailand.
Now Russian tourists do not go to Thailand, but those of our compatriots who have already bought tours on flights of foreign carriers, do not refuse their plans to relax in the Kingdom.
In the provinces of Thailand opened support centers “stuck” tourists.
