Dmitry Vakhrukov: ... the opening of our tourist services to foreign markets is on the agenda. We plan to attract up to 9.5 million foreign tourists to Russia this year. Exports of services will increase significantly. Fulfilling the task of increasing the tourist flow until 2030, we expect that it will recover and will be no less than during the World Cup, that is, more than 18 million people.
The global tourism sector accounts for more than 3.5% of global GDP, and tourism is becoming a driver of economic growth, which leads to increased human well-being and encourages new private investment.
According to the deputy minister, one of the main tasks is to ensure the growth of target indicators in order to attract additional investments to the industry and create additional profit for the sector.
