Visa-free regime between Russia and Saudi Arabia comes into force
Russia andSaudi ArabiaWe introduced a visa-free regime. Russians can spend up to 90 days a year in the Kingdom as tourists.
The exception is work or study travel, which still requires a visa.
The same rules apply to citizens of Saudi Arabia when visiting Russia.
Saudi Arabia, long considered a closed country, is now developing tourism.
Last year, the number of Russian tourists there exceeded 50 thousand people – 42% higher than the previous year.
This growth is largely due to the launch of direct flights between the countries.
