The largest sector of Chingurmi Duguma is its area of 1228 square kilometers. This area was first established as a forest or reserve in 1975. Much of the park was flooded several times during the rainy season by the Dorma River, which formed a swampy part of the floodplain that attracts waterfowl and other wildlife. There are 66 species of birds in the sector, which include guinea pigs, black crane, handsome crane, drofa, Afro-ringed dove, white stork and many, many others.
The second sector, Oasis, is located in Yobe State and covers an area of 92 square kilometers. The territory of the reserve combines fertile oases and sand dunes. Some rare wild animals of the desert live here: giraffes, ostriches, gazelles, jackals, mongoose, giant turtles, monkeys, porcupines, spotted hyenas, pelicans, secretary bird, droffes and others. Also in this sector is the famous Lake Chad, which will attract the lover of boat trips.
The BasinBade Nguru sector is a wetland. This area is an important point when migrating birds. During the dry season, this part of the park hosts many thousands of European birds that come to Africa in search of shelter to escape the harsh European winter.
