Hardangerfjord is a fabulous place with chic views of mountains and glaciers. There is a very mild climate, which allows guests to relax all year round.
Hardangerfjord is located in the western part of Norway. It stretches for 179 km, and the depth of the rivers of this fjord reaches 800 m. The fjord is large in size and the height of mountains up to 1500 meters, and in the world it is the third longest.
Throughout the district Hardangerfjord there are rocks and glaciers, with which orchards coexist perfectly. It is especially beautiful here in the spring when nature blossoms.
Going on an excursion to Hardangerfjord, you will visit truly impressive natural waterfalls. The most famous waterfall here is Voringfossen, the rapid flow of which falls from a height of more than 180 m.
Getting to Hardangerfjord is from Bergen, on the legendary road No. 7. Have time to photograph natural attractions, past which you will pass: lakes, mountain ranges, waterfalls.
Along the way, 2 stops are planned: first you will visit the Steinsdalsfoss waterfall, where you will get a unique opportunity to be under its powerful jets. After that, you will stop near the cleanest lake, where goldfish live.
Next, the path will run along the Hardangerfjord, where you will eventually find yourself at one of the longest suspension cable-stayed bridges in the world, which is called Hardangerbrois. This bridge was opened in 2013 – it is on it that you will cross the fjord and find yourself in the village of Evre Aidfjord. Here is the Natural Center of the high mountain plateau Hardangervidda - a place that will decorate your excursion. There you will watch a film about Norwegian natural attractions, which will be shown on five screens.
If there is a desire to eat, do not deny yourself the pleasure to look at the local cafe, where you can try dishes of national cuisine. The cafe is famous for its unique interior in the traditional Norwegian style, and the fireplace complements the atmosphere of coziness and serenity.
The final point of your trip will be a visit to the world-famous Voringfossen Falls. Enjoying the beauty and grandeur of this waterfall, you will go to Bergen, passing through the city of Voss. The tour takes approximately 10 hours.
