Fisketorget Fish Market

bergen, Norway

Description:

Fisketorget Fish Market is located in Norway in a charming location in the heart of Bergen between the western fjords and the seven mountains. Since the 13th century, the famous Fisketorget was a meeting place for residents and guests of the city.

Fisketorget sells fresh fish and seafood, as well as local fruits, berries and vegetables. There are also several restaurants offering a wide selection of seafood. Mathallen Mall is located in the same building and is part of Fisketorget.

The fish market in the building is open all year round, and in the fresh air - in summer, the season begins annually from May 1. There's seafood here and there's a diner.

Fisketorget is one of the most important places of trade between fishermen, farmers and residents of the city. In addition to sellers who sold their goods on land, there have historically been boat sales along the waterfront on the square. Fishermen sail from the outskirts of the city to the marina and offer a day catch, and then return home the same day.

You can reach the market by plane, train or road to the city of Bergen. Legal address: Torget 5, 5014 Bergen.
