About the company:
The unique Fram Museum is located in Oslo, Norway. It is dedicated to the history of the famous Norwegian polar expeditions. The building is a huge glass tent, which is located directly on the banks of Oslofjord.
The museum was founded on May 20, 1936 on the initiative of O. Sverdrup, L. Christensen, S. Scott-Hansen and O. Wisting. It was built to honor the memory of three world-famous polar expeditions that took place aboard the Fram. For each of them, a special room is allocated, in which there is a unique photo exhibition. Also in the museum there are stands dedicated to humanitarian aid to the victims of famine in the Volga region, organized by F. Nansen.
The main exhibit is the ship "Fram". Tourists have the opportunity to get into its interior and directly on board. The museum also houses stuffed representatives of the unique polar fauna of the Southern and Northern Hemisphere, such as penguins and polar bears.
