About the company:

The Kon-Tiki Museum is a unique place located on the Bygdøy Peninsula in Oslo, Norway. It is dedicated to the activities and life of Thor Heyerdahl. Its main exhibit is the Kon-Tiki raft, on which in 1947 the famous traveler first crossed the Pacific Ocean. Objects used during all expeditions of the navigator, now present the exposition of the museum.

Part of the exposition is a thirty-meter unique exhibition of caves, which is built in the likeness of ancient rocks on Easter Island. The scene when fish of various species swam under the raft, including their largest representative - the whale shark, is depicted on the underwater part of the museum exposition. There is also a souvenir shop and a cinema.

The museum is open all year round without weekends and breaks. Entrance ticket can be purchased for 60 kroner for adults and 25 kroner for children from 5 years. There is a reasonable system of discounts for students and pensioners. It can be reached either by ferry or by bus number 30, which departs every 15 minutes from the city center.
