Hamilton War Museum

610 York, Hamilton, ON L9C 3J8, Canada

About the company:

At the Hamilton War Museum, you can find investigations into the wars of 1812, the uprisings of 1837-1938, or learn about the origins of World War II.

The museum includes an extensive library containing reference books, military statutes and a wide range of materials related in one way or another to the military history of Canada since the American Revolution. The library provides its materials free of charge – both for teachers and students.

Every year the museum hosts more than a hundred different kinds of exhibitions, seminars, various events and festivals. Educational programmes for primary and secondary school students are held periodically. In the building of the Hamilton Military Museum, it is even possible to celebrate a children's birthday, for this purpose, the museum staff formed a wide range of options for holding this holiday.

All this, of course, contributes to the incessant flow of visitors and interested people – from a first-grader who came to the museum by the pen with his mother, to a gray-haired old man, pensively looking at the evidence of bygone times.
