Description:
Fort Hasab can be found in the north of the Musandam Peninsula. From its windows opens a picturesque and peaceful view of the Strait of Hormuz. It is no exaggeration to say that many visitors come here to see this landscape.
The architectural ensemble consists of a fortress building and a massive central tower that precedes it. The fort was built in the seventeenth century by the Portuguese who wanted to control the sea trade. The place for this was chosen more than successfully. The fort is partly used for its purpose, as trade with neighboring countries is conducted through it.
Fort Hasab has a very convenient position. Being near it, you can visit other fortresses, surrounding markets and mosques. Deserts and mountains are also within reach of the fort.
At the base of the fort you will find a bazaar consisting of many shops that sell beautiful and interesting souvenirs.
