Al Alam Palace
Description:
In terms of architecture, this building is unique. On the one hand, this is a clear example of the Arab vision of beauty, but on the other hand, there is a different attempt to experiment with forms. This is reflected in the use of elements of Indian architecture. The elegant simplicity of this building will not leave indifferent any connoisseur of beauty. On the site in front of the palace is a picturesque park that leads directly to the ocean.
Al Alam Palace rises majestically above the serene bay of the forts of Jalali and Mirani, which were built in the XVI century. The palace itself was built in 1972. Although it is the ceremonial residence of the Sultan, it is almost never there. However, it is still forbidden for tourists to enter. The palace is under the protection of the Royal Guard, but you can still walk to the gates of the palace.
