In the province of Dhofar, the city museum of Salala is considered one of the most visited tourist attractions, as with its help you can very well represent the main directions of its activities and features of the area.
Since various types of fossils have been found in the region, the main activity of the museum is to compile expositions on this topic. Here you can also find exhibitions dedicated to ancient manuscripts, literary works, exquisite Arabic ceramics.
But the pride of the museum was the collection dedicated to the trade of incense, as well as its extraction and delivery to ports.
The museum is open from Saturday to Wednesday, from 7.30 to 14.30. Entrance is free.
