Panama Independence Day

Description:

On November 28, 1821, Panama declared independence from Spain.

Panama holds the record for the number of independence days. Celebrating Independence Day from Colombia on November 3, a week later, Panamans celebrated their first declaration of independence. And here on the calendar the final date in the series of holidays of independence of Panama is Independence Day (this time from Spain).

On November 28, 1821, Panama declared its independence from Spain and immediately entered Gran Colombia, a state that was located in several modern Latin American countries.

Panamanians compensated for the passivity in gaining independence with an abundance of celebrations – each day of independence is celebrated with unusual colorfulness and scope. Independence Day from Spain is no exception. The abundance of state symbols on the streets of cities, solemn processions, carnival costumes, music, dances - all this creates a unique atmosphere.
