Catholic Easter

Description:

According to tradition, all generations of one family should gather at the table.
Usually two days are celebrated: Sunday and Monday. Easter Sunday morning begins with a festive mass at the church, after which the Poles sit down at the festive table. At this table, according to tradition, all generations of one family should gather. The festive meal begins with prayer. Breakfast consists of consecrated Easter, eggs, horseradish, meat and sausage.

The next day after Easter Sunday is wet Monday. Poles generously water each other with water. Water "bombs", packages filled with water, fall from the windows on the pavements and heads of passers-by, explode in the subway cars dousing passengers, but no one complains, on the contrary, everyone is satisfied. It is believed that water brings health, luck, profit in the household. Staying dry on a “wet” day is a bad omen.
