Catholic Day of St. Nicholas

St. NicholasIn Poland, this day is called Mikolaiki.

According to tradition, on this day, St. Nicholas (Dad Moroz, Santa Claus, in Poland - St. Mikolay) brings gifts to children and adults at night. Therefore, parents and adults try to imperceptibly put the gift under the pillow or in another place (under the bed, on the window sill, etc.).

Mikolaikas are also celebrated in kindergartens and schools.
