Preserve of Belyansk Skalki

Poland, Malopolska Voivodeship, city of Krakow

Description:

The Bieljanskie Skilki Reserve is located in the Belyansko-Tynets landscape park, which is located in the west of the city of Krakow. The territory of the reserve includes the southern slopes of the hill of Srebrna Gura, which is part of the hilly Pasmo-Sovinec system.

In the immediate vicinity of the reserve is a Catholic monastery of camels.

The reserve dates back to 1957, when it was decided to protect the grass cover of the Volsky Forest. The rugged terrain and numerous protrusions of rocks complement the unique forest landscape, and the light that breaks through the tree crowns illuminates the grass-covered meadows.

The reserve Belyansk Hills is located on the territory of 1.73 hectares. The proximity of the city makes the reserve a convenient place for leisurely evening walks. On its territory there is a tourist route originating on the street of Prince Jozef in the city of Krakow. The walking path passes through the monastery of the camels and ends with a forest alley.
