Jock became a favorite of local residents, attempts to arrange him in an animal shelter were unsuccessful - the dog did not let himself be caught. The townspeople brought him food. A year later, Jock chose his mistress - she became old Maria Muller, who soon died. The dog was placed in a shelter, but he escaped from there and died, throwing himself under the train.
