Krakow Old Town

In the Old Town, located in the ring of Planta parks, several hundred valuable architectural monuments have been preserved. In 1978 Krakow was included in the list of UNESCO protected cities. It is not surprising: it is here that the famous Royal Castle on Wawel is located - the residence of Polish rulers and kings (10-16 centuries). Located on a hill above the Vistula, which has undergone many reconstructions and redevelopments over the centuries, this castle has become today an example of the diversity of European architectural traditions, a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles with Renaissance style.
